Applications for CanExport Community Investments 2020

  • As of September 4, 2019, the CanExport Community Investments program will be accepting applications from Canadian communities seeking financial support for their foreign direct investment (FDI) initiatives for the year 2020.
  • Additional funding is available under the Trade Diversification Strategy for the 2020 cycle, for communities planning to broaden their reach into new markets.
  • Applications must be submitted before 13:00pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. Communities must submit the final version of their application by the deadline to be considered for funding. Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will be rejected. We would like to remind you that only one submission form is permitted per applicant.
  • Communities and organizations that have submitted a funding request will be informed of the results of the adjudication process by the end of December 2019.

  • We invite you to visit our website for information on program eligibility.
  • To assist you with the preparation of your application, program managers will be holding tutorial webinars on September 11, 2019 in both official languages. The English tutorial will take place at 13:00pm (EDT). The French tutorial will take place at 10:30am (EDT). We expect the tutorials to last about one hour. For more information about the webinars, please consult the website.

  • Applications must be submitted through the Partners@International portal. Mailed, emailed or faxed applications will not be accepted.
  • Please review the How to Submit an Application for Funding page from the website to familiarize yourself with the application process.
  • If your organization does not already have an account, you are required to register with the Partners@International portal. Once registered, it may take up to five business days for you to be able to log in to your new account for the first time.
  • New applicants will only be able to access the application form once they have (1) registered on the portal, (2) uploaded the letter of incorporation/proof of legal status of the organization, and (3) downloaded the PDF application form from the Partners@International portal.
  • The deadline to submit the application is 13:00pm (EDT) on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.
